Dream Spring Break in Florida: Where I’d Go if Money Was No Object
If I had my choice of spring break destinations in Florida, this resort in Charlotte Harbor would be it.
As I get older, spring break means something very different to me compared to my early 20s. For starters, I'm no longer looking for crowded beaches, spending an arm and a leg on parking, and nursing a sunburn for a week afterwards. Instead, my spring break criteria have changed, and I am leaning toward more relaxation, rest, pool day lounging with a good book, and everything I need all in one place.
This is why I would choose Sunseeker Resort in Charlotte Harbor, Florida as my dream spring break destination if money were no object.
Right on the coast between Sarasota and Fort Myers sits Sunseeker Resort, a luxury waterfront destination with 785 coastal-inspired guest rooms, including 189 signature Sunsuites™. In short, this place is gloriously massive, with floor-to-ceiling windows that offer sweeping harbor views. What really caught my eye most about this resort was the fact that it has everything you need right on the property.
First things first, the food. Of course, for me, one of the most important aspects of booking any trip involves the dining options, whether on-site or in the surrounding area. At Sunseeker, there are over 20 unique culinary venues, including seven standalone restaurants and the 25,000-square-foot Harbor Yards Food Hall, which houses 11 distinct concepts. That's right, a food hall! All within the same resort. How cool is that?!
Also, it wouldn't be a true resort vacation without an abundance of things to do. Nothing makes me happier than a pool day, complete with cold drinks, a good book, and of course, sunscreen. The resort has not one but two stunning pools, each overlooking the harbor. The first pool, Reflections, is on the ground floor, while the second pool, Level Blue, is up on the roof! Level Blue is likely where I'll be spending all my free time, enjoying breathtaking sunset views from 127 feet up.
Other unique amenities that are part of the resort include Aileron Golf Club, available for guests to level up their golf game, a full-service spa and salon, a state-of-the-art wellness center with expert-backed fitness classes, and a selection of curated coastal experiences.
What makes Sunseeker Resort my perfect spring break destination is the fact that it offers variety across all aspects, from the room selection to the food, the multiple pools, and different amenity offerings. It's almost like a choose-your-own adventure every single day. And although we'd easily stay here if money were not an object, the affordability of a few nights here makes the option to stay and play even more of a reality.
