The Historic Hotel DuPont In Delaware Gets All Decked Out For Christmas Each Year
Hotel DuPont in Delaware transforms into a winter wonderland with festive decorations and holiday events.
Have you ever experienced the Hotel DuPont holiday season? Our most historic hotel is a centerpiece of Wilmington's Rodney Square neighborhood, and when the season rolls in, it becomes a winter wonderland of holiday cheer.
The beautiful and historic Hotel DuPont is one of Delaware's finest hotels. It was built in the early 1900s and opened on January 15, 1913.
When the winter wind starts to blow in the First State, Hotel DuPont begins to turn into a winter wonderland.
Vintage and antique Christmas decor appear on tables and in halls, on shelving and on walls.
Christmas trees light the lobby and the hallways, standing tall and showing off the holiday spirit. One year, the lobby tree stood next to an enormous gingerbread house that greets everyone who walks in.
Each year, the Hotel DuPont hosts a gingerbread house building event, welcoming Delawareans to try their hand at a traditional holiday craft.
You'll be amazed at the Gingerbread Hotel built by the talented and famous pastry chefs. The decorations are so impressive!
When you visit the Hotel DuPont around the holidays, you'll want to stop by their bakery and bring home a big tray of fresh-baked cookies to enjoy.
This year, the Gingerbread House Decorating Party and brunch will be held on December 11th and December 15th, though the 15th has sold out. Be sure to get your reservations for the 11th before you miss out!
