The Magnificent Lakefront Airbnb in Connecticut That Is Perfect for a Spring Retreat
This luxurious waterfront vacation rental in Vernon, CT lies right on Middle Bolton Lake and is perfect for springtime!
One of my favorite things about the Nutmeg State is all the shoreline we have. Sure, it's magnificent in any season, but once the warm months roll around, time by the water is all the more magical. Spring and summer are the best times to be outdoors. If you ask me, there's no better place for a spring getaway in Connecticut than a waterfront stay, and fortunately, we've got those in spades here! The Airbnb in Vernon, CT, that we're featuring today is an idyllic escape right on beautiful Middle Bolton Lake. There's nothing like a day of fun in the sun right by the water. Whether you're looking to lounge in luxurious settings indoors or enjoy time outside, this waterfront vacation rental in Vernon, CT, is the place for it!
Nicknamed The Luxe, this secluded spot lies right on Middle Bolton Lake. It feels remote and tucked away in nature, though in reality, it's not too far from Hartford, CT. In fact, this waterfront rental is only 15 minutes from downtown Hartford.
You're just steps away from the water and have plenty of opportunity for outdoor activities, including an outdoor dining set, hot tub, kayaks, and a vintage canoe. Spend your days sunbathing, splashing, or paddling around the water and enjoying the sights and sounds of springtime in Connecticut.
Inside, you'll find more than 2,000 square feet to spread out. The beautifully-appointed home has everything you need for a relaxing few days away.
The full kitchen is perfect for preparing meals if you want to save on expenses by not dining out. If you’re not a fan of cooking on vacation (same), there are plenty of restaurants in Vernon. I’d recommend visiting Charlie’s Fresh Catch. This local joint has a wide range of menu options, including comfort food, fresh seafood, and some of the best New England clam chowder in town.
The three bedrooms can sleep up to six guests, making this an ideal stay for a family or group of friends.
There's not much better than time by the lake in the springtime, is there? Feel free to take one of the complimentary kayaks or the vintage aluminum canoe out to enjoy the lake from an entirely new perspective.
This area of the state has a surprising amount of natural beauty, and a day spent by water is a day well-spent. While you're here, be sure to visit Bolton Notch State Park, one of my favorite hidden gems in Connecticut. This tiny but mighty state park is one of the least visited state parks, but if you're already in the vicinity, I say send it!
