Being in Estes Park guarantees visitors the opportunity to be surrounded by the splendor of the majestic Rocky Mountains. One of the most iconic places in this beautiful mountain town is the historic Stanley Hotel. Recently, this hotel unveiled a new venue that has found a way to, as much as possible, bring the great outdoors inside for their guests to enjoy.
The Stanley Hotel, which is famously known for inspiring Stephen King's "The Shining," has added a pavilion amphitheater to their sprawling campus.
This $10 million project that took nearly four years to complete features an 11,000-pound hydraulic glass door that is engineered to open 90 degrees outward.
This will provide guests with spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains as well as the private pond and cascading waterfalls that the amphitheater wraps around.
The 19,000-square foot building includes 300 seats (both indoor and outdoor) for guests to enjoy a variety of entertainment.
With its beautiful natural backdrop, the amphitheater creates an intimate setting that will host concerts, TED talks, lecture series, weddings, corporate events, and more.
The goal of building this new amphitheater was to help expand Stanley Hotel's opportunities to continue becoming a "cultural hub" in the heart of the Rockies.
The pavilion amphitheater is a free-standing building tucked away on the west side of the hotel's property and offers a perfect view of the mountains.
This new building consists of three main spaces (two large banquet spaces and the 300 seat amphitheater).
Make your way to the Stanley Hotel at 333 Wonderview Ave., Estes Park, CO 80517 to experience this new venue in person.
