5 A-Frame Arizona Vacation Rentals for the Coziest Fall Getaway

If you desire a homey hideout among the trees, these A-frame Arizona cozy vacation rentals are where you need to stay this fall.

As the temperatures drop and the leaves turn from green to warm autumnal tones, many of us crave cozy getaways. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year for a weekend away in the mountains, where I can escape for secluded woodland views, hikes through the towering pines and aspens, and visits to a local coffee shop for something to keep me warm. If you also desire a homey hideout among the trees, these A-frame Arizona cozy vacation rentals are where you need to stay this fall.

1. Canyon Creek Cabin - Flagstaff

A Guest Favorite on Airbnb, the Canyon Creek Cabin is nestled in the Coconino National Forest. It's perfect for a secluded getaway, yet it's close enough to downtown Flagstaff if you'd like to mingle with locals. With its wildlife theme and location, outdoor enthusiasts will love this spot, especially with its private access to the Pumphouse Wash Trailhead, which winds through the Ponderosa pines. On the spacious patio is a fire pit to sit around on those chilly fall nights and a hot tub under the stars. Inside, the open floor plan provides plenty of space for up to six guests with a well-equipped kitchen, a cozy living room with a gas fireplace, and large windows allowing plenty of natural light to stream in. Plus, you'll have lovely forest views from the comfort of the indoors or the option to bundle up and sit on the deck to take it all in. Book your stay at the Canyon Creek Cabin, a super awesome A-frame in Flagstaff, on Airbnb.

2. Vista A-frame - Flagstaff

The Vista A-Frame is another cozy gem in the Flagstaff area (specifically, Kachina Village) that feels more like a treehouse than a cabin. Situated on a half-acre on the side of a mountain, it is called "Vista" because of the panoramic views of Ponderosa and the vast blue sky above. If you prefer views with seclusion, this is the place for you! While incredibly cozy, with enough room for four guests, the modern amenities make it feel like a luxury hotel room. In addition to the amenities, its design includes a bit of whimsy, including a spiral staircase between the floors. As one guest stated, this cabin is "nothing short of magical," and we think you'll also enjoy a fall getaway at the Vista A-Frame.

3. A-frame Cabin Getaway - Payson

Style and cozy collide at this Airbnb 5-star A-frame cabin located on a mountainside in Payson. The deck offers scenic views—there's nothing quite like dining al fresco while overlooking the treetops! Speaking of the outdoors, you can hit the trails from the backyard for a hike in the crisp fall air. Inside are three bedrooms, one with a king bed, one with a queen, and the third with a full bed. There's room enough for six guests to enjoy meals cooked in the fully equipped kitchen with a laundry area and the spacious living room with a few plants and large windows that bring a bit of the outdoors inside. The living room also has a fireplace to light a fire on those cool fall nights. Visit Airbnb for dates, a list of amenities, and to book your stay. The next time I visit Payson, I think I'll stay here!

4. Modern A-Frame Retreat - Williams

The newly built Modern A-Frame Retreat is located in Williams, within striking distance of the Grand Canyon's South Rim—it takes around an hour to get there. Inside, wood beams make a distinct letter "A," and large windows allow natural light. The endless tree and mountain views seen from the open-concept indoor space and the deck may make you wish you could live here full-time, or at least during the fall months. This stunner can accommodate up to four guests for the perfect autumn retreat in Arizona. For available dates and to make a reservation, head to the Aframe Grand Canyon's Airbnb page.

5. Cozy A Frame - Prescott

Prescott is one of my favorite small-city escapes in Arizona. Its Old West charm, historic sites, saloons, and Courthouse Square make it a lovely place for a day trip or a quick fall getaway. If you prefer more solitude than what you'd find downtown, there's a cozy A-frame tucked away from civilization in the mountains surrounding Prescott. The home features one bedroom with one queen and two single beds, and a sleeper sofa in the living room, allowing up to six guests to stay. One of the home's best features is the 400-square-foot deck overlooking an abundance of trees with mountain views. What a great spot to enjoy the cool fall air while drinking coffee in the morning or wine in the evening! Book your stay at the Cozy A Frame in Prescott on Airbnb.
