If You Dare, Stay In The Haunted Room 32 At The Jerome Grand Hotel In Arizona For A Night Of Fright
Jerome Grand Hotel in Arizona is renowned for its haunted history and vintage charm, making it a unique travel destination.
Are you brave enough to not only stay in one of the most haunted hotels in Arizona, but the most haunted room in that hotel? If so, you'll want to request Room 32 at the Jerome Grand Hotel. This former mining hospital's history is rife with tragedy, and Room 32 is noted for being a paranormal hotbed.
Perched on a hilltop overlooking the ghost town of Jerome and surrounding Verde Valley, the Jerome Grand Hotel is widely considered to be one of the most haunted hotels in Arizona.
It isn't hard to understand why - the century-old building originally served as a hospital for injured mine workers, and thousands perished within its walls.
Upon entrance, you'll feel like you've stepped into an old movie.
Antique décor and furnishings line the long and winding hallways, and you can practically feel the weight of all the memories - both happy and tragic - made here over the decades.
The rooms are styled in a similarly vintage fashion, each one brimming with character.
You can't help but wonder about the history of your particular room; who has stayed in it before you, and whether its past is rife with unfortunate events.
One room in particular, Room 32, is the most popular request among paranormal aficionados.
The room has more than its fair share of tragic tales, including two alleged suicides: one that occurred when a man wheeled himself off the balcony, and another involving a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
If you choose to stay in Room 32, we recommend taking the elevator up to the third floor rather than the stairs.
The reason why has nothing to do with convenience, and everything to do with the chance of seeing a ghost. You see, the elevator is also one of the most haunted spots in the hotel. It's almost as old as the building itself, and in the mid-1930s, the maintenance man was found dead, pinned beneath the door. Nobody knows for sure exactly how it happened - especially since the elevator was in perfect working order...
Even if you don't experience anything out of the ordinary at the Jerome Grand Hotel, it's still worth a stay.
Not only are the views astounding, but simply being in a place with such a storied past is unforgettable.
