The Best Pet-Friendly Hotels in Scottsdale, Arizona That You Should Book ASAP

It can be hard for us pet owners to leave our furry friends behind, but what if you could take them on vacation? The following are among the best pet-friendly hotels in Scottsdale, Arizona you can book.

Let's face it: Our pets are a massive part of the family, so why wouldn't we want to take them on vacation with us? The thing is, not every vacation rental, resort, or hotel is amenable to guests bringing pets onto the property, and so we must leave them with a pet sitter or at a pet boarding facility. It can be hard for us pet owners to leave our furry friends behind, but what if you could take them on vacation? The following are among the best pet-friendly hotels in Scottsdale, Arizona, and you will want to book a stay ASAP!

1. Hotel Valley Ho

alt
  • Best Room Type: Cabana Guest Room with pool views, an outdoor space, and a separate bathtub and shower.
  • Price Point: $$$
  • Top Amenities: On-site restaurant and bar, two pools, a fitness center, the on-site VH Spa

This renovated mid-century modern marvel is among my favorite spots in Scottsdale. Not only are the rooms stylish and comfortable, but the bar area is fun, the restaurant is fantastic, the pool area is exceptional, and dogs are allowed to stay. While I currently don't have a dog, I enjoyed seeing all the pups on the property when I opted for a staycation at Hotel Valley Ho for my birthday a few summers ago.

While you can always dine at Zuzu's, the Hotel Valley Ho's on-site restaurant, you'll find yourself close to Fashion Square, a high-end mall with exceptional dining options inside and on the surrounding streets. You can always take a walk along the canal, pop into one of many bars or cafes for a refreshing beverage, or learn about the area with a stop at the city-owned Scottsdale Museum of the West just a few streets over.

2. The Scott

alt
  • Best Room Type: Lagoon or Pool View Guestroom
  • Price Point: $$$
  • Top Amenities: The Canal Club on-site restaurant, Mediterranean-style lagoon, pools with private cabanas, poolside bar, La Vidorra Spa with six private treatment rooms

Truth be told, I've only been to The Scott Resort & Spa to dine at The Canal Club for Valentine's Day. The vibe and the Caribbean-inspired cuisine made my time at this high-end resort so memorable that I am considering booking a night or two here for my next birthday. The hotel lobby is beyond luxurious, with a tropical feel that transports me to an island. The hotel is located just north of Fashion Square and all that Old Town has to offer.

For dog owners, go ahead and bring your dogs with you to enjoy the room and the grounds. You're allowed up to two pups (if they weigh less than 50 pounds... if you bring two dogs, their combined weight cannot exceed 75 pounds).

3. Fairmont Scottsdale Princess

alt
  • Best Room Type: Fairmont Gold Jr Suite
  • Price Point: $$$$
  • Top Amenities: Two spas, fitness classes, top-rated on-site restaurants, a golf course, seasonal events, and a Pet Package

Fairmont Scottsdale Princess isn't just a luxury hotel but a large resort with pools, a lagoon, on-site dining, two spas, and other extraordinary amenities that make it hard to leave the property. However, if you want to explore, it's close to the TPC, the Frank Lloyd Wright Spire at the Scottsdale Promenade, and a Harkins movie theater.

The Fairmont hosts the popular Christmas at the Princess each year, and I've attended the magical event of millions of lights, music, and amusement rides several times with my kids. While the Fairmont is a family-friendly getaway destination, you can also bring your dog. Book the Pet package that includes a "Pupcierge" who can pet sit or even bring your pet for walks. Also, your dog will have its own luxurious bed to sleep in, gourmet treats, food and water bowls, a plush toy, and an in-room dining menu just for them.
