This lodge is about 35 miles from Valdez. The only way to get to this place is by float plane or boat! It makes it the perfect atmosphere for an underwater adventure.

Salmon Sharks are the most requested underwater creature to scuba dive with.

Your hosts, and the owners of the lodge, are actually one of the leading authorities on Salmon Shark migration, behaviors, and feeding patterns. This means you have a great chance at seeing them on your trip!

Not only do you have the ability to swim with a marine animal that was previously incredibly hard to find and swim with, there are also other expeditions that they offer!

Head out and swim into jellyfish blooms! A very cool, surreal experience that any scuba diver would want to try. You can enjoy swimming with the salmon, too, in the freshwater streams.

You can also jump in and swim with the icebergs off of Columbia Glacier!

Now naturally, if you're swimming in waters cold enough to have icebergs floating around, you'll need the proper equipment to dive. At least 7mm wetsuits are recommended, but dry suits may be the better bet for your dive.

You will have the chance to see all kinds of wildlife, both in the ocean and on land.

As the lodge resides in the middle of an impressive wilderness, it's common to see brown and black bears wandering around the property. Between that and walking off the beach to go scuba diving, Ravencroft Lodge is the perfect place to visit to satisfy your scuba diving adventures.

You can visit this lodge too, but remember to make reservations in advance!

The lodge is intimate and only accepts 12 guests at a time. You can relax in the middle of the Alaskan wilds with all of the comforts of home, and then some. The perfect scuba diving experience!
