It's pretty much impossible to not love this Northwest state but here are 10 reasons in particular to be proud to call Washington home:

Nearly 32% of the population has advanced degrees!
5. We've innovated industries.
Some companies based around here, to name a few: Microsoft, Amazon, Starbucks, Pop Cap Games, Expedia, Nordstrom, Costco, Classmates.com...
6. We have all kinds of culture.
From the music and art scene in Seattle to the historical sites and landmarks in Eastern Washington, you'll find all of our communities are thriving with culture!
7. We set trends.
In addition to all of our homegrown inventive companies, we've had numerous groundbreaking musicians, artists and more emerge from our state!
8. We take care of our beautiful environment.
Nearly 75% of the state’s power comes from renewable energy sources including hydroelectric, solar and wind. We also recycle and compost constantly!
9. Our economy is solid!
We have the highest state mandated minimum wage at $9.47! Forbes.com has even listed Washington as #1 for the Best State to Make a Living In.

Our huge variety of climates and ecosystems includes everything from the coastal Pacific shores to the plains of Eastern Washington, which actually sees more sunshine every year than parts of Florida!
