Being near the coast and all, we have the some of the freshest seafood ingredients around! If you're not a fan of fish, you might like some of these other Washington food and drinks!

5. Our adorable pets

Most people in our state have an animal in or around the house that they love dearly!

6. Coffee, beer, and/or wine

From our dozens of cafes to breweries and wineries, you're never too far away from one delicious beverage in Washington.

7. Going on road trips

There are so many roads to discover! Have you been on any of these scenic routes?

8. Our glorious mountains

They're so mesmerizing to look at! A few of our most beloved peaks: Mount Rainier, Mount Baker, Mount Saint Helens, Mount Ellinor, Mount Si, etc.

9. Bargains

There are several thrift stores and yard/garage sales all over the state where you can score a great deal!

10. Our colleges

Not only do we have some great educational programs at WSU, UW, and Gonzaga (to name a few), but also plenty of college sports teams to root for! Did you attend a university in our state?

11. Music

We have so many talented homegrown musicians and are always listening to some great tunes!

12. Local fruit

Apples, cherries, berries... we have some sweet produce planted right in our backyard!

13. Reading

Books, newspapers, magazines, articles...you name it! We're exceptionally literate around here and love finding new things to read.

14. Our enchanting small towns

Here in Washington, we have plenty of love and appreciation for the smaller communities!

15. And of course - living in this breathtaking state!
