15 Things Virginians Do Better Than Anyone Else

Virginia is the place for the extraordinary and unique. It wouldn't be far-fetched to say that our state excels at everything - but then again, we might be slightly biased. If we had to pick just some things that we as Virginians do better than any one else, the list might start with the following.

1. State pride

Virginia is for lovers (of Virginia).

2. Field trips

Never is there a shortage of field trip options here. No matter where you live in Virginia, there's bound to be a site of historical significance within a 10-mile radius.

3. Admiring gorgeous sunsets

Whether the sun is descending behind the Blue Ridge Mountains or the Chesapeake Bay, being from Virginia means appreciating this extraordinary beauty.

4. Being presidential

So far, there have been 8 U.S. presidents born in Virginia. That seems like more than a coincidence.

5. Keeping up the traditions

Whether it's a live museum such as Colonial Williamsburg or a pumpkin pie recipe, Virginians know the importance of keeping traditions alive and well.
