At the top of the list is Staunton, Virginia. But don't just take our word for it; it was recently named a top mountain town by Southern Living Magazine. Tucked away in the scenic Shenandoah Valley, the town of Staunton is relatively sizable, but there's no denying the small-town charm that pervades every square foot of this Virginia destination.
