9 Things You’ll Remember If You Grew Up In The 80s In North Dakota

It's hard to believe that the 1980s was three decades ago now. While we're trying to forget how old that makes some of us, let's take a look back at the 80s and all that came with it. North Dakota was going through some of its own changes, and all the kids and teens of the decade will definitely remember some of these parts of their childhood:

1. Van Halen was definitely the band of choice in North Dakota.

2. FFA and 4-H were everything.

3. The height of the arcade, and the beginning of at-home video game consoles. You will always remember your first Atari or Nintendo if you had one.

4. The news of the 1980s ND oil boom and subsequent bust in places like Dickinson and Williston.

5. A bowl of cereal and some morning cartoons was the best way to spend your Saturday morning, especially if the cereal was themed!

6. THE movies of the 80s to watch as a teen. You know the ones.

7. Some of the more questionable hair styles...

8. The feeling of hope and suspense when listening in to see if school was canceled for a snow day.

9. If it was, you could play with your Cabbage Patch Kids in the snow.

Remember those?

What are your favorite memories of the 1980s?
