15 Reasons Why My Heart Will Always Be In New Jersey

Many born and bred New Jerseyans leave the state at some point, often in search of higher temperatures or lower taxes. Even if we leave New Jersey, our hearts will always be here. Why? Here are 15 reasons.

1. Our 127 miles of absolutely gorgeous coastline. (Ocean Grove)

2. Our oceanfront sunrises. (Seaside Park)

3. Our breathtaking sunsets. (Long Beach Island)

4. Because we have the BEST seaside resorts.

5. And the BEST pizza.

6. It's hard to leave the diner capital of the world.

7. They still don't serve these slices of goodness everywhere.

8. Because Branch Brook Park (in Newark and Belleville) is home to the largest collection of Cherry Blossom Trees in the nation. Bragging rights!

Enjoy historic guided tours of the park on the 17th and Bloomfest on the 24th. Bloomfest is a free festival which includes Japanese cultural demonstrations, live music, a craft market and so much more.

9. Because even though we're the most densely populated state, we're packed with charming small towns.

10. Not all states offer four fantastic seasons.

11. Or views like this.

12. Or hidden beauty around every corner.

13. Our state is filled with nearly 800,000 acres of farmland, providing fresh fruits and veggies. (Jersey Tomatoes, please!)

14. And all kinds of people. Our wonderfully diverse state has shaped us.

15. But there's one thing we Jerseyans have in common - we're tough cookies.

There's so much to miss about our state, this list is only the start. No matter where we go, New Jersey will always have a piece of our heart. What do you, or would you, miss most about the Garden State?
