No matter where we may travel, there are certain things that are very reminiscent of home. From iconic landmarks to quirky museums, these quintessentially Nevada reminders will feel familiar to Nevada natives and locals. Whether you're from northern or southern Nevada, this list is sure to spark that unmistakable sense of state pride.

1. Shrimp Cocktails

As a casino classic, shrimp cocktails are more or less the state's official food. According to the Tasting Table, in 1959, a California chef brought his love for seafood to the Golden Gate Casino in Las Vegas. Back then, one could get a glass of fresh shrimp for just 50 cents!

2. Stunning Red Rocks

From Valley of Fire State Park to Red Rock Canyon, it’s almost impossible to see those striking red rock formations and not think of Nevada. Nevada’s red rocks leave a lasting impression, and serve as a vivid reminder of the state’s rugged beauty.

10. Ghosts
