11 Reasons Why You Should Never, Ever Move To Nebraska
Sometimes, when we all have family visiting from out of state, it suddenly becomes the perfect opportunity for them to fall in love with the Cornhusker State and totally think about moving to Nebraska. Stop them in their tracks before they can make any solid plans - we all know Nebraska is crowded enough as it is. It should be easy: show them all these reasons not to move to Nebraska:
1. This is just boring old flyover country.
3. It's SO flat here.
4. Plus, we've got all those "Cowboy and Indian" fights to put up with.
5. There's never anything to do.
We basically just sit around staring at the walls all day.
6. Nebraska doesn't even have any beaches. Summer here is just awful.
7. Omaha and Lincoln are all there is to Nebraska.
(If you're talking to a country person.)
Or 8. It's all cornfields - no cities at all.
(If you're talking to a city person.)
9. It's just plain ugly here.
10. The people are so rude and unwelcoming. You'll never make any friends.
11. The boring view you see from I-80 is all there is. Seriously, there's nothing else. Don't even bother exploring other places.
Living in Nebraska is just plain old boring, flat, and lame to anyone who might be interested in living here, so let that be a warning to those of you who are interested in moving to Nebraska: stay away!
Okay, so, did it work? Did you convince everyone to stay far away? If not, then at least prepare them for life in Nebraska by telling them how living here ruins you for life.
In the meantime, what's living in Nebraska like for you? Tell us all about it.
