1. It's illegal to shoot rabbits from a motorboat.

2. In 1905, Helium was discovered at the University of Kansas.

However, humanity has used up most of it, and it's the only thing on Earth that's not a renewable natural resource.

3. Wichita's DeBruce Grain elevator is the longest in the world. It's even the longest after we lost some of it in 1998.

Wow! A grain elevator with a length of 2,657 feet is indeed long!

4. Kansas is the home of Pizza Hut, White Castle, and also ICEE drinks.

If you ask us, these are all great creations! We're most thankful for ICEE drinks, though.

5. Smith County, Kansas is home to the Geographical Center of the Contiguous 48 States.

This is a definite must-visit!

6. We have a church in Hutchinson that's partially made of grasshoppers.

The church's foundation was mixed and constructed during the grasshopper plague, so quite a few of them inevitably became a part of it.

7. Kansas' Dodge City is a really windy city. In fact, it's the windiest city in America.

Dodge City has an average wind speed of 14 mph. Wow!

8. Twenty-seven different Walnut Creeks call Kansas home.

I wonder who was in charge of naming all of these creeks. We definitely need some originality in here.

9. There are more than 500 caves in Kansas, but most of them are inaccessible. Comanche County is home to 128 of them.

10. Kansas has nearly three million citizens.

Most people wouldn't think Kansas has so many citizens, especially with only around 400,000 of them living in Wichita. Kansas is pretty spread out, which explains why it has such a high population.
