Head to the town of Fallbrook in San Diego County and you'll discover some of SoCal's most magnificent hikes tucked inside this charming town. Here are six of our favorite destinations where you can get outside and enjoy the fresh air.
Looking for a destination where you can cool off on a hot summer day? Then check out this relaxing five-mile trail with plenty of shade set along the river at 4251 River Edge Road. You'll love the tranquil setting that will leave you feeling recharged.
You'll feel completely refreshed along this half-mile trail that winds its way through an oak-filled forest that leads to breathtaking views. This hike is short, but the incline is steep so it may be more challenging than expected. You can find the Karen Tucker Preserve at Heller's Bend Road and S. Mission.
Love fairytale trails right out of storybook? Then we know you'll love checking out the Los Jiligueros Preserve. You'll find an easy breezy trail that's approximately one mile long located in an enchanted forest setting. You can find the Los Jiligueros Preserve trail at South Mission Road near Fallbrook High School.
Wander through this 14.5-acre preserve for a refreshing break from the city. You'll discover tons of open space and a variety of native trees including oak trees, willow trees, and towering sycamores. You can find the Dinwiddie Preserve on Stagecoach Lane in Fallbrook.
More challenging than most of the trails on this list, the Monserate Mountain Trail will take you straight to the peak where you'll experience soaring views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. You'll want to bring plenty of water along on this 4-mile trail as it is quite strenuous. If you're up for the challenge, this is one trail that will surely leave you feeling accomplished.
