You’ll Want To Ride The One-Of-A-Kind Interactive Ride Found At The Funplex In South Carolina
Did you know there’s a newer amusement park in South Carolina called The Funplex? It may have slipped in under the radar since it opened in 2021 as the world was beginning to recuperate from the pandemic. It’s an interesting addition to the attractions in Myrtle Beach, and it has a one-of-a-kind interactive ride that thrill seekers will love.
On less than an acre of land, there are seven fun rides to enjoy. There's no admission fee. You purchase credits or wristbands based on which rides you want to experience.
It's a record-setting ride that reaches an altitude of 50 feet, reported as the tallest interactive 360-degree flying jet ride on the market and the first of its kind in North America.
Guests have the ability to control their roll, inversion, and height flipping their plane 360 degrees, which makes this a fully interactive and unique experience.
Visit The Funplex website and The Funplex Facebook page for more information and updates. And if you’ve already been to this new park, leave us a comment and share what your experience was like! Did you ride the Mach Fun? What was your favorite ride?
Check out Palmetto Shores if you’d like to stay overnight nearby. It’s an RV Resort with plenty of fun things to do right there, too, all year long!

South Carolina has been home for AnneMarie since 2001. Her favorite part of the state is Lake Jocassee. An App State alumna, it's always the mountains; the lake bonus makes it heavenly. When not writing about the state, she may be spending time with family, relaxing by the pool, or out somewhere enjoying nature.
