The Humble Little Restaurant South Carolinians Are Quietly Obsessed With

Grits and Groceries in South Carolina is a beloved restaurant known for its exceptional food and friendly staff, making it a popular day trip destination.

When it comes to our food, we South Carolinians can be quite obsessive. The same is true for our preferred restaurants: we know what we like, whether it's a certain BBQ joint, steakhouse, or pizza place. If there's one eatery in the Palmetto State that we've become downright (and quietly) obsessed with in recent years, it's Grits and Groceries. Read on to see (and learn) why...

It may be located in the country, however, Grits and Groceries is no ordinary country restaurant.

The building itself has served this community in many ways over the years. It's been a post office, a country store and a community meeting place. In a way, it's still a community meeting place.

But, the community has grown exponentially to include all of South Carolina — and beyond!

And it's easy to see (and taste) why!

The food is not only beautiful, but also out-of-this-world good!

Across the board, breakfast, lunch and dinner never disappoint. The menu is wonderful and the prices are very reasonable.

And most of all, the staff of this humble restaurant is down to earth and super friendly!

Grits and Groceries is a day trip for many South Carolinians, and we can't think of a better reason to take a day trip than for the flavorful delights found at this unassuming restaurant out in the country. Can you?
