Some Of The Best Hot Dogs And Jersey Italian Sausage Are Found At Chester’s Pit Stop In South Carolina
Chester’s Pit Stop in Pawleys Island offers delicious Jersey Italian sausages and all-beef hot dogs with a variety of toppings, making it a must-visit roadside shack.
Do yourself a favor the next time you're in the Pawleys Island area and have lunch at Chester's Pit Stop, located right on Highway 17 between Pawleys Island and Litchfield. You don't have to be from New Jersey to appreciate the delicious Jersey Italian sausage tucked between the folds of a potato roll and then piled high with the toppings of your choice.
Nor do you need to be an official hot dog connoisseur to realize the all-beef hot dogs here are so good, you may worry about them becoming habit forming.
Whatever you try at Chester's Pit Stop, you're sure to be dazzled by this little roadside shack that's as bright and inviting as the food is good and the staff is friendly.
The hot dogs here are among the best available in the Grand Strand.
Both the hot dogs and the New Jersey sausages come with your choice of toppings, including homemade chili, chopped onions, sauteed onions, roasted red peppers, cole slaw, garlic relish, banana peppers, Sauerkraut, and jalapenos.
You may want to pack and extra shirt when you visit... things can get messy in the very best of ways.
Chester's also serves fried flounder and fried shrimp sandwiches that are a must try for seafood lovers!
It's open six days a week for lunch and a late lunch/early dinner. The hours are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. You'll find it right on Highway 17 between Pawleys Island and Litchfield (next to Goodyear Tires).
Have you had the number one hot dog in the Grand Strand yet? Check out their website here, and follow their Facebook page right over here. We'd love to hear about your visit to Chester's in our comments! While you're in the area, you could also pop on over to the (actual) Pawleys Island to visit one of the most hidden beaches in the state. Read all about it in this previous article!
