Rhode Island’s Sandwich Hut Has Been Serving Scrumptious Lunches For Three Generations
Rarely will you find a Rhode Islander who does not appreciate a well-made sandwich. After all, it’s pretty much the perfect lunch (or any meal, really). Perhaps that’s why Providence’s Sandwich Hut has been a popular spot for so long. This laid back little sandwich shop has been serving countless customized creations for three generations, and it’s still going strong.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. No matter which part of the state you call home, you've probably driven by this place a dozen times without realizing its significance.

Tatulli was originally from Puglia, Italy and was a machinist during World War II. He was 40 years old when he decided to open his sandwich shop.

He saw an opportunity with the little hut on Main Street, and the rest is history.

The Alitalia is topped with rosciutto, capocollo, pepperoni, and provolone, and for most patrons, it's enough for two meals.

They even have a Frittata Friday menu, offering the tasty breakfast sandwiches on every working person's favorite day of the week.

We highly recommend the Combo Cookie.

You can get your sandwich fix Monday - Saturday from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
