While Rhode Island is often overlooked due to its small size, the state's restaurants still often receive national attention. Though much of this focus is on the amazing restaurants found within the state's capitol city of Providence, there are amazing places to dine all over the state! Since great food in Little Rhody is often found in places you wouldn't expect. Here's a list of 10 small towns with amazing restaurants to help make your quest for delicious food that much easier.
1. New Shoreham
The small town of New Shoreham is a paradise of a place found on Block Island. Amazing restaurants such as Mohegan Cafe, Finns Restaurant, and The Oar are perfect spots to enjoy an amazing meal on the island. Exploring the historic lighthouses, beaches, and other attractions in this small beach community is all too worth it in addition to the food.
2. Charlestown
Charlestown has a population of under 10,000 people and is a charming small beach town. Wonderful restaurants include Nordic Lodge, The Cove Restaurant, and the Breachway Grill.
3. Jamestown
This magical town is found on Conanicut Island and is filled with wonderful sites such as Beavertail State Park and Fort Wetherill. Great places to dine include Simpatico Jamestown, Chopmist Charlie's, Narragansett Cafe, and so many others!
4. Little Compton
Little Compton is a delightful small town with a year-round population of just under 3,500. Beautiful trails and beaches are found here in addition to charming vintage shops and wonderful Sakonnet Vineyard. Delicious restaurants include Crowther's Restaurant, The Barn Restaurant, Sakonnet Point Club, and A-1 Pizza.
5. Richmond
With a population of under 8,000, it might be surprising that such great food can be found in this small Rhode Island town. With the village of Wyoming found right in town, there are several great restaurants that include Kingston Pizza, Bali Village, and Town Pizza II.
6. Warren
Warren is a beautiful scenic town located in Bristol County. Popular dining establishments include Blount Clam Shack, Warren House of Pizza, Tav-Vino Restaurant, and many others!
7. East Greenwich
The charming town of East Greenwich might be one of the better kept secrets from the summer tourists. The reason? Main Street is filled with amazing places to dine and fun night life. Frank and John's Pizza, Siena Restaurant, Cobblestones Wood Fired Pizza, and DiMare are just a few great examples.
8. Narragansett

9. Middletown

10. Scituate
Found in Providence county is lovely Scituate. With its population of around 10,000, this Rhode Island town is known for it's stunning reservoir, hiking trails, and annual arts and crafts festival.
