Fresh, homemade jam just tastes better. And, when you have a choice of original flavors offered at this shop near Pittsburgh, well, that makes it even more of a treat.

Roll down the windows for the less than 45-minute drive to Batch, nestled in the quaint town of Saxonburg.

The charming shop, which features a kitchen, was founded and is headed by Jessica Brewster and Meghan Pohl.

Together, the entrepreneurs have built Batch, focusing on homegrown *and* homemade, using all-natural ingredients.

So, step into the charming shop that sells a variety of fresh, homemade jellies, jams, and other goodies.

But, don't expect the same old-same old, especially when it comes to jam when you shop at Batch. Jams and jellies rotate according to the season.

Choose from such unique jams and jellies as monkey butter, strawberry mojito, carrot cake, and ruby spice. (Jam and jelly recipes are created by both owners.)

But, it goes beyond the fresh jams and jellies. Batch also features homemade soups on Tuesday and Thursday, treats on Friday, and quiches on Saturday.

Of course, you can also get fresh bread and salads daily. Batch also sells an assortment of homemade gifts, including pillows, candles, soap, jewelry, and more.

Batch is located at 230 W Main St, Saxonburg, PA 16056. Visit Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
