We can all probably agree that Pittsburgh boasts a rich history, one that most recently saw the city transform from a thriving steel town to a center of technology, medicine, and education. Even as Pittsburgh continues to evolve, we still pass memories of yesteryear all through the city and the suburbs. This abandoned Pittsburgh church, since demolished, for example, has been preserved in drone footage.

Like the city itself, Holy Trinity Church in Duquesne had a rich history that dated back to 1901. During the turn of the century, the local Slovak community came together in search of a local church it could call home.

The church itself was built and opened several years later. Holy Trinity Church in Duquesne became the home of the Slovak community and other Pittsburghers until the 1960s when it was abandoned.
