The Garden Christmas Light Displays At Longwood Gardens In Pennsylvania Is Pure Holiday Magic

There’s perhaps no better way to drink in some of that beauty than a visit to what is regarded by some as the best Christmas lights in Pennsylvania. It’s a treasured annual tradition for many.
Longwood Gardens is located at 1001 Longwood Road in Kennett Square, about an hour east of downtown Philadelphia.
Throughout the year, Longwood Gardens provides sheer natural beauty every where you look. Visitors come from miles around to tour the expansive indoor and outdoor gardens here.
When wintertime rolls around, however, the gardens transform into a spectacular masterpiece of more than half a million lights.
Generally running from mid-November until the first week of January (check the website or social media pages for exact days and times) it is one of the most popular Christmas light displays in Pennsylvania.
Upon entering the property, you'll probably want to start your journey outdoors as you explore the spectacularly lit grounds.
As you watch it chug along the tracks, you can almost envision what it would be like to embark upon a real railway adventure across the Pennsylvania landscape.
As you meander through all of the themed rooms, you'll see the creativity used to deck them all out for the Christmas season.
The Music Room, for example, boasts elaborately-decorated trees against the backdrop of an old-fashioned candy shop. Speaking of music, did happen to pass the musical fountain on the property when you arrived? It is one of the most unique fountains in Pennsylvania.

Where else can we see Christmas light displays in Pennsylvania?
They are literally dotted all over the state, in both the big cities and small towns. A few to get you started include Koziar’s Christmas Village in Bernville, the Hershey Sweet Lights in Hershey, Christmas Magic at Rocky Ridge Park in York, and the Shady Brook Farm Annual Holiday Light Show in Yardley. You really can’t go wrong with any of them!
Are there any drive-thru light displays in Pennsylvania?
Yes, and they certainly come in handy when it is really cold out there! They are also an easy way for families with small children and people with mobility issues to still get out and enjoy. You can find beautiful drive-thru Christmas in Pennsylvania light displays in Imperial at the Christmas Light Up Celebration, in Altoona at Holiday Lights on the Lake, and in Slippery Rock at Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland, just to name a few.

This time of year is when the much-anticipated ice skating rinks make an appearance. The largest in The Keystone State is the Blue Cross RiverRink. Every winter season at this popular rink they have a Winterfest including a spectacular holiday light display, food booths, and more.
