7 Places In Pennsylvania That Are Like A Caribbean Paradise In The Summer
Ah, summertime. The absolute perfect time to get away. Preferably somewhere warm with tropical breezes, white sandy beaches, and endless ocean views, right? Well, while we may dream of an island getaway, not all of us have the time or the funds to fly away on a dream vacation. But that’s okay. We’ve got some pretty sweet spots right here in Pennsylvania that, if we close our eyes, might just make us feel as though we’ve been transported to a Caribbean paradise.
1. Erie Bluffs
Tranquility - and sensational sweeping views - await at Erie Bluffs State Park. The predominately undeveloped state park features spectacular views from atop the 90-foot Erie Bluffs. Unfortunately, you can't go swimming at the serene state park. But, you
can explore by foot; enjoy a picnic, or go fishing.

2. Laurel Hill State Park
Beach days, here we come! Enjoy the gentle lake breeze as you claim your spot on the 1,200-foot sandy beach at Laurel Hill State Park in Somerset. Soak up the golden rays before heading into the cool water of the 63-acre lake. Explore the lake by boat. Have a picnic. Or, cool off with a cold treat from the concession stand. Turn a beach day into a quick getaway by camping out in one of the lodges or cottages.

3. Bald Eagle State Park
PA may not border the ocean, but we do have our fair share of beaches in state parks - like Bald Eagle State Park. Lounge along the 1,200-foot sandy beach before jumping into the lake to cool off. Bald Eagle State Park's beach has everything you need for a relaxing day: A snack bar, a playground, restrooms, and changing rooms. Of course, you might also want to go kayaking, boating, or hiking along one of the nearly 15 miles of trails.

4. Presque Isle State Park
Escape to Presque Isle State Park on Lake Erie for an unforgettable getaway. Spend your days soaking up the sun along one of the park's numerous beaches, all boasting a slew of amenities.
