Take A Virtual Tour Through A Sea Of Over 40 Acres Of Tulips At The Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm In Oregon
Every spring, we eagerly await the Wooden Shoe Farm’s annual Tulip Festival. It’s a favorite community event, and is so amazing that it ranks as one of the best tulip festivals in the entire country! While we were dreaming of the beautiful blooms soon to come, spring of 2020 had other plans. The threat of COVID-19 kept us all in our homes, sheltering in place to protect ourselves and others in the community.

Concerned about the negative impact a large festival would have on the health and safety of Oregonians, Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm announced on March 19th that its 2020 festival would be cancelled. While the tulips were blooming just as beautiful as ever, we weren't able to enjoy them in person. Though drones flown by members of the public aren't allowed, the farm granted Travel Woodburn access so it could provide everyone with a fly-over tour.

Normally, we'd stroll down these rows, stopping to take photos and pausing to bask in the beauty of these brilliant blooms.

We can't wait for Tulip Festival 2021! While we're so sad to have missed attending this year, we're certain that the strength of our community and its willingness to keep each other safe and healthy will mean that we can enjoy this wonderful festival tradition for years to come.
If you’ve lived in Oregon very long, you’ve undoubtedly attended this festival in years past. We’d love to see your photos from previous visits in the comments!
