I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
Winter isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and while we can’t do anything about the cold and ice, we *can* offer a fun way to celebrate this chilly season. (If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em; are we right?!) Held each February, Oregon WinterFest is a delightful winter festival in Oregon that’s just plain fun, with ice carving demos, fire pit competitions, live music, outdoor recreation, and tons of food and drink vendors. Bundle up for this only-in-Oregon event that’s sure to have you singing the praises of Old Man Winter!
The 2022 Oregon WinterFest event is slated for Feb. 18-20 at the Deschutes County Expo Center. Visit the event website and Facebook page to learn more.
