This One Place In Oregon Will Make You Wish You Lived Underground
The Oregon Caves National Monument is truly a wonder to behold. Located in the Siskiyou Mountains of Southwestern Oregon, this hidden gem is nestled into a gorgeous old growth forest.
Discovered in 1874, this stunning cave is especially unique in that its 15,000 feet of passages are formed entirely out of marble. Over the millenniums, the limestone that originally formed the cave metamorphosized into marble, creating the strange and beautiful scenery that exists inside of the cave today. Check it out for yourself. Tours are offered from mid-April through early November.
