Candy, specifically fruit-flavored gummy candies, has been my thing since I first tried Swedish Fish as a child. I’m part Swedish, so I’ve got to eat it, right? Even though I’m an adult, I still enjoy an occasional sweet treat.

Oregon is home to lots of great candy shops but I’m partial to one in particular: Manzanita Sweets. This shop is well-loved on the Oregon Coast by locals and visitors alike. What makes it so special? Manzanita Sweets feels like an old-fashioned sweet shop! I love its adorable decor and amazing selection of candies, especially the huge variety of Oregon-made treats.

For more information about this sweet candy shop, visit the Manzanita Sweets Facebook page. If your visit to the Oregon Coast includes a drive, you may want to stock up on car-friendly snacks and/or enjoy a meal at one of the fabulous restaurants in the area. I love Wanda’s Cafe + Bakery in nearby Nehalem for delicious pastries, fabulous salads, yummy brunch fare, and more. Don’t forget to take a stroll along the gorgeous local beaches as well.

We’d love to know how you enjoyed your stop at Manzanita Sweets, so please leave a comment to let us know about your experience and what kind of candy you love. Also, feel free to share your favorite candy shops in Oregon, too.
