This Easy Mountain Hike Along The Oregon Coast Has An Unbeatable View
Located on the Oregon coast just north of Manzanita, Neahkahnie Mountain is a breathtakingly beautiful peak that overlooks miles and miles of coastal scenery. A lovely three-mile hike will lead you to the summit of this incredible headland, where you’ll be stunned by one of the most magnificent coastal overlooks in the state.
Beginning at the South Neahkahnie Mountain Trailhead, you'll wind your way through grassy meadows, a forest, and vibrant wildflowers before reaching the exposed mountaintop.
The trail is steep but leisurely, with immense beauty to be seen along the way.
If you're interested in a longer hike, you can also reach the summit by walking from the North Neahkahnie Mountain Trailhead, which will take you on a slightly more difficult, five-mile hike.
When you get to the top, you'll be mesmerized by the stunning aerial views.
Afterwards, head back the way you came to reach the trailhead. If you'd like, you can continue on to the base of the mountain to explore the nearby town of Manzanita or top off your adventure by relaxing on the beach.
