Looking for an exciting, fun, and inclusive playground? Try Hope Playground in Redmond, Oregon, it’s the largest one in the State! The brainchild of a group of local moms, this awesome playground opened in 2015 and is located within Sam Johnson Park. The parents want to create a space for kids of all abilities, ages, and interests to be able to play, learn, and have fun together. Hope Playground, which is also called “Hope Playground for Everyone,” does just that.

The finished playground can accommodate up to 450 people. Kids with and without a variety of special needs can find lots of ways to engage with the playground equipment and play together. The Redmond community helped to raise around $750,000 in donations, grants, and in-kind labor to help make this playground a reality.

Locals and visitors couldn’t be more thrilled with the end result, which ended up being the largest inclusive playground in Oregon, possibly in the entire Northwest. They created a true Oregon hidden gem—and I can’t wait to visit with my kiddos! You should come check it out, too!
