The holidays are a wonderful time of joy, reflection, and family fun. In Oregon, you'll find almost endless ways to celebrate. One of my favorites is to visit some of the wonderful holiday light displays. I love going to some of the classics like Peacock Lane, as well as exploring some that I've never seen.
If you're wondering where to find the best Christmas lights near me? We've got you covered. Here's where to go to experience the most wonderful Christmas light displays in Oregon.
1. Silverton Christmas Market
Each year, the Silverton Christmas Market takes residence at the Oregon Garden Resort. Enjoy the authentic German Christmas market, visits with Santa, and a fabulous light display with over one million lights!
2. Portland's Christmas Street
Peacock Lane, which has been a holiday tradition since 1929, is known as Portland's Christmas Street for good reason. This tiny four-block-long street between Southeast Stark and Southeast Belmont lights up with house after house decked out in holiday cheer! This event is free to the public, too.
3. Nature’s Coastal Holiday Festival of Lights
Nature’s Coastal Holiday Festival of Lights at Azalea Park in Brookings, Oregon, began in 1997 with just over 20,000 lights. The gorgeous annual display now boasts three million twinkling lights!
4. Celebration of Lights
This beloved Colton, Oregon, light display is now only available for public viewing during an official event. However, you can enjoy the magic of the Celebration of Lights at Aspen Meadow during one of the season's special events and concerts. Proceeds benefit local community partners.
5. Pastega Christmas Light Display
Take in the joyful beauty at the Pastega Christmas Light Display. The festivities are located at Benton County Fairgrounds in Corvallis.
6. Winter Wonderland Portland
Head to the Portland International Raceway to see Winter Wonderland Portland. This magical light display decorates all around the track.
7. The Grotto
The Grotto in Portland puts on the gorgeous Christmas Festival of Light. In addition to the spectacular lights, enjoy choral concerts, puppet shows, caroling, and more.
For more information about these Christmas light displays, visit the following websites: Silverton Christmas Market, Peacock Lane, Nature’s Coastal Holiday Festival of Lights, Aspen Meadow Celebration of Lights, Pastega Christmas Light Display, Winter Wonderland Portland, and Christmas Festival of Light. If your visit to see the lights includes a drive, you may want to stock up on car-friendly snacks.
