Your Whole Family Will Love The Brand New Storybook Trails Popping Up All Over Ohio

Ohio introduces new Storybook Trails in state parks, offering kid-friendly hikes that combine nature and storytelling.

Here in Ohio, it can be difficult to know which trails are kid-friendly. (Be sure to check out this list of kid-friendly hikes.) This year, however, new trails are popping up all over the state that are perfect for kids and parents to explore together. Ohio Storybook Trails are being added to multiple Ohio State Parks this summer and they're perfect for a whimsical family adventure—and even a little education.

This summer, nature and story collide along the brand new Storybook Trails hiding in Ohio's state parks.

Each trail features a whimsical story with a focus on nature and a free little library. It's the perfect way to get the kids outside and enjoy some fresh air.

If you have a little bookworm, this fun and free activity will only enhance their love of reading.

Along the way, posted signs tell the story, asking questions and presenting challenges to keep little explorers engaged with the surrounding area.

It's an excellent way to sneak in a little education!

Each of the Storybook Trails are about a half a mile long, which is an ideal length to keep kids engaged and energized throughout the walk.

You'll love the anticipation and excitement that builds upon the discovery of each new piece of the story.

Currently, there are 5 Storybook Trails in Ohio. They are located at John Bryan State Park, Maumee Bay State Park, Alum Creek State Park, Dillon State Park and Wingfoot Lake State Park.

Make it a scavenger hunt and track down all the trails with the family this summer!
