b.a. Sweetie Candy in Ohio is a family endeavor. It was started by brothers-in-law Frank Stansny and Al Tokar back in 1950, and it was eventually sold to Tom and Judi Scheiman in 1982. The Scheimans still oversee it to this day, and the company is bigger than ever.
With an inventory of more than 4,500 different items valued at $2,000,000, you really won't find a better candy selection than at b.a. Sweetie Candy Company.
Retro candy is arguably one of the biggest draws of Sweetie's. You'll find long-time favorites that you can't find anywhere else lining their shelves and via their online shopping center.

Aside from b.a. Sweetie, what are the best candy shops in Ohio?
There are so many incredible candy stores in Ohio! In Greater Cleveland, Rocket Fizz and the Chagrin Falls Popcorn Shop always merit a visit. If you’re near Cincinnati, Grandpa Joe’s Candy Store in Middletown deserves a visit. Near Columbus, you will find Ohio’s oldest candy store: Wittich’s Candy Shop!
Are there any nostalgic stores in Ohio?
At b.a. Sweetie Candy in Ohio, retro candies are the star of the show! Locals love digging up memories of years since past in their candy bins, but it’s not the only throwback destination. The Bomb Shelter in Akron is an epic spot for old school finds, and you can dine on retro vibes at Bearden’s Steakburgers when you visit these Northeast Ohio destinations.
