Here in Ohio, we're lucky to have our fair share of delicious, authentic Italian restaurants. You may not have realized, though, that some have been around for over 100 years. Guarino's is a prime example. It's the oldest Italian restaurant in Cleveland, and among the oldest in the entire state of Ohio. When you visit, you can look forward to incredible hospitality paired with some of the tastiest Italian dishes around. Here's more on why a trip to Guarino's promises to make your day special.

Welcome to Guarino's Italian Restaurant! Located in the Little Italy neighborhood of Cleveland, this neighborhood restaurant has truly stood the test of time.

It all began in 1898 when a man by the name of Vincenzo Guarino arrived in Cleveland's Little Italy to live with his relatives.

With the money he saved working as a road worker, Guarino opened up a pool room and tavern with his wife, Mary, who would prepare home-cooked meals for friends and family that would visit. The food was so delicious and the atmosphere was so inviting that it was only natural that the space transformed into a restaurant!

Step inside today, and you'll find that the atmosphere at Guarino's continues to be just as warm and inviting as it was 100 years ago. That's probably because the kitchen is still run by family friends of the original Guarinos.

The Victorian decor is elegant and homey, and you'll feel as though you're part of the family no matter where you may be traveling from.

Of course, the true star of the show is the menu. From homemade lasagna and chicken parmesan to seasonal dishes and all the traditional favorites, you'll find something for everyone here.

Not quite sure what to order? Start with a plate of the garlic cheese bread and you won't be disappointed!

And while the dining room inside is a beautiful place to enjoy your meal, be sure to check out the patio on a warm summer day.

Look closely and you may even spot the Still standing is the trumpet vine brought from Sicily and planted by Vincenzo!

So whether you're a huge fan of Italian food or have an appreciation for unique Cleveland history, you'll be glad you stopped by this legendary family-run restaurant.
