You might be surprised to learn that just a little bit southeast of Columbus there is a charming relaxing place where the sun shines brightly and the wine pours smoothly. That place is the Rockside Winery and Vineyard. You can visit this local winery and enjoy their wines right among the grape vines that they came from. Read on to learn more!

If you're planning to go on a Friday, make sure you check their online calendar. Friday evenings are occasionally reserved for private events.

The staff are super friendly, they will make you feel comfortable and share their extensive knowledge of the wines.

That is Rockside's motto, and a visit always lives up to it.

The land has 4.5 acres of Vinifera, French-American Hybrids, and Native American vines. Grape varieties include Cabernet Franc, Vidal Blanc, Chambourcin, Niagara, and Corot Noir.

Rockside's wines are made in small batches from mostly Ohio-grown grapes. Some grapes that just cannot be grown in the local climate are brought in from California.

You can also sit outside on the patio and look over the beautiful rolling hills of Fairfield County.

From live music to fun "Murder Mystery" Nights, Rockside Winery is packed full of awesome things to check out! Some events require advance ticket purchase, so make sure the check their events calendar and reserve a spot early!

Stop by for $4 glasses of wine and 50% off a variety of small appetizers, including bread with dipping oil, cheese, fruit, Italian meat plates, hummus served with fresh vegetables, and an antipasto plate. Local craft beer is also available on tap for $4.50.

The staff will be happy to tell you about the vineyards, caring for the grapes, and the winemaking process.
