Cincinnati’s longest continually-running fine dining restaurant, The Precinct has earned rave reviews and numerous accolades over the years. And while the surf and turf at The Precinct certainly is worth writing home about, it’s the cozy and intimate ambiance of this Ohio restaurant that make it stand out in all the best ways.
Nestled on the corner of Delta Avenue and Columbia Parkway in the former Cincinnati Police Patrol House Number 6 (hence its name!), The Precinct has been wowing Ohio diners with the most memorable, marvelous meals since 1981.
Step inside and you'll find yourself in a classic, swanky steakhouse complete with rich wood tones, a stunning old-school bar, dazzling chandeliers, and candle-lit tables. The Precinct is truly a vibe -- an intimate, inimitable, inexplicable presence that can really only be experienced in person.
The menu is comprised of classic steakhouse favorites presented with impeccable artistry and panache, and the quality of each and every ingredient comes together in a harmonious symphony of flavor. The Surf & Turf here is on another level; choose from U.S.D.A. prime beef that's hand selected just for Ruby's restaurants and buttery, impossibly flaky lobster, this is the kind of perfect plate you thought only existed in your wildest dreams!
Though if you're looking for something a bit lighter, the Miso Glazed Cod is one of the menu standouts that hits all the right notes: sweet, salty, savory, and full of umami.
Round out your meal with a few accompaniments, though "sides" is a misnomer. The "sides" do not play second fiddle at The Precinct; the Baked Macaroni & Cheese features no less than six varieties of fromage for a rich and decadent accompaniment that's worth every single calorie.
As for desserts, ultra-rich options like Crème
Brûlée and Butter Pie are divine, but for me, there's really only one choice: the Chocolate Espresso Cake. This is the kind of deeply rich and sublimely chocolate cake you'll be dreaming about long after the last bite!
Because really, the whole point of dining at a place like The Precinct is pure, unadulterated pleasure. It's a time to really enjoy the meal, the company, and the ambiance; a meal at this intimate restaurant in Cincinnati, Ohio, is an experience you won't soon forget.
