There’s much to do in Greater Cleveland, but ventures outside of the metropolitan area often turn into unforgettable road trips. Located just a few counties south of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County, Holmes County is an incredible road trip destination. In addition to hosting the second-largest Amish population in the world, life is slower in Holmes County, and drives are more peaceful. You’ll also find one of the largest antique malls outside of Cleveland in this area, and this destination alone makes the road trip worth it. Prepare to go on a treasure hunt, because this adventure is full of scenic views and surprising finds.
As soon as you complete the hour and a half trek from Cleveland to Berlin, you'll find an incredible antique mall; a highly appropriate business in Holmes County's oldest community.
Berlin is one of Ohio's largest Amish communities, and it is full of interesting attractions. Farms, restaurants, scenic byways, and a slower pace of life make this area a highly attractive day trip destination.
Since 1816, immigrants and Ohioans alike have put down roots in this area... and they've left all sorts of objects behind, both mundane and bizarre.
There is an unbelievable amount of miscellaneous stuff lining the aisles of this building. If you can imagine it, it is probably hiding amidst these goodies.

Even if you're just looking to kill some time or to browse, you could easily find yourself entertained at the antique mall for hours.
Primitives and glassware are common antiques that you might spot, but don't be surprised if you spot some newer items, too. You might even be able to pick up something living, like a plant!
And collectibles (whether they are plates, glassware, Coca-Cola mementos, or vintage toys) can be found in abundance amidst the many shelves.
To embark on your personal treasure hunt, make note that this business opens at 9 a.m. on Monday through Saturday. It can get busy, so come early to get the best deals! It closes at 5 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and operates until 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Unlike many antique shops closer to home, however, this one is full of tourists. Keep your eyes peeled for hidden treasures, because they're hunting, too.

Soup, salad, wings, and more will delight diners at this retro eatery. Breakfast, kid's meals, and dessert all cater to the palates of even picky eaters!
The very interior of this restaurant feels like a time capsule, embracing the milieu of the antique mall with its classic appearance.
Located right at State Route 39 in the center of town, it's hard to miss this massive mall. You'll probably only spend a few hours here before heading off to enjoy the other wonders of Amish Country, nevertheless, this ginormous place makes the trip from Cleveland worthwhile.
