There’s A Terrifying Haunted Cave Near San Francisco And It’s Not For The Faint Of Heart
Any time of the year is great for some interesting hauntings around San Francisco. Located an hour outside the city is a mine with caves that will more than you spook you out. The Black Diamond Mines are a place you should only visit if you want to experience a creepy and truly haunted thrill. Let’s take a look:
The Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve is a 6,000-acre park located north of Mount Diablo. There is a creepy and unknown history that many people don't know about at all.
There are claims of ghosts and a haunted past among the splendor and natural beauty at Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve.
The old abandoned mine is home to several ghosts. The coal mine was in operation until about 1945, and since then there have been many reports of paranormal sightings.
The ghost called the Wailing Witch is the most feared spirit residing in the caves. The story of this ghost lives on still today.
The Wailing Witch is said to be the ghost of a nanny who lost her job because she had been practicing witchcraft.
This accused witch was found dead in the mines under strange circumstances, and nobody was ever arrested.
This troubled spirit is trapped within these mines and the nearby graveyard, still seeking justice for her murder.
If you dare, there are a number of mine openings opened to the public for visitors to look into the mines.
Despite the haunted history here, there are beautiful colors and wonderful gems found throughout this park.
The Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve is located at 5175 Somersville Rd, Antioch, 94509.
