Railtown's Polar Express looks exactly like something out of a Christmas storybook. Both kids and adults will be in absolute awe as they step aboard the vintage train car.
The train ride is approximately an hour long and will lead you across breathtaking Northern California countryside before arriving at the one-and-only North Pole. When you arrive, Santa himself will come on board and give each passenger a silver sleighbell—the "first gift of Christmas".
Along the way, you'll enjoy steaming cups of hot chocolate and yummy cookies as you ride with many of the story's magical characters. This is the type of experience where it's impossible not to have a huge smile on your face the whole time!
The Polar Express consists of several cars that are pulled by a vintage engine from Railtown 1897's collection. You'll be seated in either Coach or First Class according to your ticket purchase, but guests in each car will experience the same delightful excitement and wonder that the Polar Express has to offer.
The main advantage of being seated in the First Class car is enjoying the large windows and extra comfortable seating. All passengers are free to move about the car and observation deck during the train ride.
This year, the Polar Express will take place on Friday and Saturday, November 23 and 24, and Friday, Saturday, Sunday from November 30 through December 16. Departure times are 4:30 pm, 6:00 pm, and 7:30 pm.
