Ride The Polar Express Train At The California State Railway Museum In Northern California

Right here in Northern California there is magical holiday train ride hosted by the California State Railway Museum, which is located in downtown Sacramento. Everyone feels like a kid during the holidays, and this delightful and festive train ride through seasonal decorations and Christmas cheer is sure to entertain all of us.

There might not be real snow in Sacramento, but that doesn't stop the State Railway Museum from busting out all festive decorations!

The trains are all decorated and look like they are right of the animated musical. Guests are offered hot cocoa and cookies while they ride the train.

All aboard... Next stop, the north pole! The set is lovingly crafted to spread the holiday cheer and make the magic of Christmas come to life.

Ride the train in the evening and soak in all the spectacular holiday sights.

One of the best parts of the whole experience are the friendly elves who take a break each year from making toys to drop in on the Polar Express here in Northern California.

The Polar Express is pulled along by a historic streamlined diesel locomotive from the museum's collection. Chris Van Allsburg's classic holiday story, the Polar Express, as you and your family make your round-trip journey to the North Pole.

The interior of the museum is also decorated. This beautiful tree is a spectacular sight and well worth the visit.

The main attraction, of course, is jolly old St. Nick himself! Santa is waiting for you to tell him what you are hoping to find under the tree, so be sure to pay him a visit.
