Suspension bridges are not very common in North Dakota. In fact, there are only five of them in the state, most quite small. One of the most iconic suspension bridges happens to be located on the Valley City State University campus, and it truly is incredible. The bridge spans across the Sheyenne River and is 90 feet long. You can easily reach it from either side and admire the view it provides. It's for foot traffic only, so it's perfect for a stroll.

The bridge was built in 1901 and has been a gem of the City of Bridges for over a century. It was considered a work of art when it was built, and it still is today.
