The Place In North Dakota That Will Make You Feel Like You’ve Stepped Through A Magical Wardrobe

If you want to take a trip into a piece of nature that feels like an enchanted land, you don’t need to find a magical wardrobe to do it. North Dakota has its own spot that will make you feel like you’ve stepped into the fantasy land of Narnia. Definitely put this place on your ND to-do list, especially during this time of the year when the entire park has transformed into beautiful colors.

Located near Cavalier, North Dakota, the Icelandic State Park is like a place from a fairy tale.

This stunning place is right on the shores of Lake Renwick and offers a diverse area with many different parts of nature. From the calm lake waters...

... to the dense forest and brush in the Gunlogson Nature Preserve, which is also included in the park.

This unique area almost feels like a jungle during certain times of the year. Taking the trails through it will practically transport you to another world.

The Icelandic State Park is truly breathtaking any time of the year. The vivid greens in the spring and summer make way for the golds and reds as fall comes around.

The many trails available for hiking and the campgrounds open to pitch a tent in turn into the colorful pages of a storybook this time of year.

Even in the winter, this area stays absolutely mesmerizing. And having both a state park and nature preserve together creates the perfect environment for plenty of creatures to live in.

You never know what you might come across while exploring here, and it will almost make you feel like the animals might speak up at any moment, or that the trees are listening to everything.

Maybe even a majestic lion is lurking through these trees - or some whitetail deer! The entire atmosphere and visual beauty of this park is unlike any other, and it's right here in North Dakota.
