Leah moved to North Dakota when she was 12 years old and has traveled from the Red River Valley to the badlands and many places in between. She loves small-town life and currently enjoys living on a small farm in the ND prairie. She's always had a passion for writing and has participated in novel writing challenges such as NaNoWriMo multiple times. Her favorite part about this job is recognizing small businesses that deserve a boost and seeing the positive affect her articles can have on their traffic, especially in rural areas that might have otherwise gone overlooked.
Editor’s Note: Josie’s Corner Cafe and Bake Shop is now permanently closed.
If you’ve got a hankering for cookies, then look no further than this little bake shop in North Dakota. They don’t just make some of the best cookies in the state – they make some of the best cookies in the entire country! And cookies aren’t the only thing they bake up fresh daily. There are plenty of delicious, sweet, freshly made treats to try at this amazing little cafe and bake shop:
Josie's Corner Cafe & Bake Shop is located on (where else?) the corner of Broadway and 6th Avenue North in Fargo, North Dakota. This cute little shop is just full of goodies on the inside.
They have everything from classic chocolate chip and sugar cookies to their own creations like the Chocolate Chippers, shown below, with rice krispies and coconut shavings baked into chocolate chip cookies for an added twist.
Cookies aren't all Josie's Cafe has, however. They make an entire menu full of baked goods and non-baked goods alike. You can pick up breakfast pastries, pies, cupcakes, and even puppy chow here.
You can also choose to build your own sandwich or grab a panini or melt that are always on the menu. If you want the full experience, get their Lunch Box Special: a half sandwich, bowl of soup, side of veggies, and a choice of one of their fantastic cookies for dessert.
