This Japanese Bath House In North Carolina Will Melt Your Stress Away
Can we all simply agree that North Carolina has it all? And so much so that we’re often in awe of the endless variety of things to do! We also have to admit, when we first thought of a Japanese bath house we may have raised an eyebrow – but we quickly moved past that, and so will you. Because this hidden treasure is a spa retreat like no other in the Tar Heel State. And the bath houses? Prepare to be wow’d…
Nestled in the woods in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Shoji Spa and Lodge is the only one of its kind on the entire East Coast. The spa retreat includes several PRIVATE salt mineral hot tubs that are available in minimal one-hour increments.
... and the fourth side is wide open to the elements. Imagine soaking here in on a cold winter day. How relaxing and rejuvenating! (It's available year-round, not just in the winter.)
Other amenities are available at Shoji Spa and Lodge as well. In addition to the PRIVATE salt tubs, there is also a sauna, a cold outdoor shower, and seasonally, a cold plunge tub which is available in the warm summer months.
Twenty five massage therapists are available for various types of treatments, from a classic Swedish massage to Deep Tissue to Hot Stones and Thai and Shiatsu. We especially love the thought of a summertime COLD STONE massage.
Bring your friends (the tubs can hold up to 6 people), or just enjoy an hour or two of quiet solitude in your own private Japanese soak in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina.
Have you been waiting for a great reason to head back to the Asheville area? This is it! This unique Japanese spa is located just 10 minutes outside of Asheville!
Shoji Spa and Lodge is located at 96 Avondale Heights Rd., Asheville, NC 28803. A one-hour pass for a private salt tub soak is currently $45.
