Twirl Around The Largest Outdoor Ice Rink In North Carolina This Winter At U.S. National Whitewater Center
Most people don’t know that one of the largest outdoor ice rinks in America just opened this season in North Carolina. But now that you do… you’ll want to check it out in person! You’ll find it in Charlotte at the U.S. National Whitewater Center. Here’s all you need to know:
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. The largest outdoor ice rink in the Tar Heel State offers an impressive 17,000 square feet of ice on which to twirl all season long.
The new rink is installed on the center's Upper Pond and even features an Airstream that sells hot cocoa and refreshing beverages. No need to leave the pond when you're having fun, right? The enormous new rink has three areas: a skating trail, a huge, open-skate section, and the Airstream beverage truck.
Both daytime and nighttime skating are available. The single attraction one-day pass is a mere $20/person and includes skate rental. (You'll just need to bring your own socks... )
While some people choose to get a season or an annual pass that includes access to all of the activities at the U.S. National Whitewater Center, this special family-oriented attraction is easily worth the twenty bucks per person to spend some quality time with the kiddos.
Ready to check it out? Ice skating passes are only available at the door (as opposed to online). For more information, check out the official website for the U.S. National Whitewater Center.
