There’s something so quintessentially fall about getting lost in a giant corn maze. The perfect, golden hue the corn reaches once fall is near its peak is just beautiful. Plus, bonus points like pumpkin patches, hayrides, fresh cider make corn mazes a fun, dizzying treat come fall. But it’s the whole experience that makes them so memorable. 1. Amazing Maize Maze, Rural Hill Farm, Huntersville
As one of the largest corn mazes in the SE, the Amazing Maize Maze features a giant, 7-acres with a total of two miles of connecting paths. The maze is so large and daunting, visitors have to go through a small maze tutorial before entering. Each group must also hold a flag throughout their time in the maze incase they get lost or turned around. Although it might seem daunting, it's a great (bonding) way to spend a day getting lost then finding your way.

2. Ken's Korny Maze, Garner
Ken's Korny Maze is the longest-running corn maze in North Carolina and each year features an impressive, new design. After finding your way out of the six-acre maze, find the perfect pumpkin or two to take home from the pumpkin patch.

3. Kersey Valley Maize Adventure, Advance
This 10-acre maze is certainly challenging, but also surrounded in fun like the nearby zipline that flies above the maze or gem mining not far in the woods. Of course though, you'll want to complete the maze first for that sense of accomplishment. There's also a great pumpkin patch.

4. Hubb's Corn Maze, Clinton
Deemed an 'agri-tourism fun park,' Hubb's features more than just a corn maze but an entire day of fun on the farm. The maze is over 10 acres and features three varying levels within and an interactive scavenger hunt. Aside from the maze, there's plenty of fun on the farm like a mini-zipline, laser tag, 'House of Corn,' giant slides, giant jump pillow and more.

5. Aw Shucks Farms, Monroe
Aw Shucks unveils a new, intricate design each year. This year's design honors the American Red Cross and all they do. After you complete the maze (it takes around 25 minutes) enjoy the other activities like hayrides, pumpkin picking, horseshoes and corn hole.

6. Gross Farms, Sanford
The 15-acre corn maze features three puzzles with various checkpoints to make sure you're correctly finding your way out. There's also farm-centric activities like pumpkin patch, slides, and interactive activities.

7. Ashe County Corn Maze and Pumpkin Festival, West Jefferson
The Ashe County Corn Maze features a whole variety of fun from the challenging corn maze, live music on the weekends, pick your own pumpkins and even a shoot your own corn cannon.

8. Upchurch Farm, Cary
Just outside of the Triangle, this farm features a four-acre corn maze encompassing 650 yards. If you're looking for an easy alternative for the little ones, there's also a tiny tots maze.
