North Carolina Is Home To The Country’s Most Underrated Snow Tubing Park And You’ll Want To Visit
The High Country in North Carolina doles out some extraordinarily fun wintertime activities. Among them is the family and group-friendly adventure of snow tubing. Not many people realize the largest snow tubing park on the entire East Coast is located just west of Boone, in the town of Seven Devils.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
It's here, at Hawksnest, that you'll find the biggest snow tubing park around. It has four different hills, and up to 30 snow tubing channels.
After reaching the bottom, you'll either hop on the carpeted lift to head back to the top, walk back up, or make your way over to yet another fun hill to try out.
Hawksnest is even open for limited nighttime snow tubing. If you think it's fun in the daylight, try zipping down that hill at night for a even more thrilling adventure.
Hawksnest is located at 2058 Skyland Dr., Seven Devils, NC 28604. Snow tubing is subject to weather conditions. Snow tubing fun starts every two hours Monday through Sunday beginning at 10:00 a.m. Closing times vary. The cost is $30/person Monday-Friday, $38/person Saturday-Sunday, and holidays. See this link on the official website for more information.
As a mere point of reference, Hawksnest is located 14 miles west of Boone and a mere 100 miles from both Charlotte and Winston-Salem.
